Recently, the nvidia-dkms driver updates wouldn’t build for 5.x series kernels, so if you hadn’t cleaned up old kernels, the update bombed out before updating the initrd filesystem, the system couldn’t boot without intervention. Thankfully, I noticed before trying to reboot my work desktop, and the solution was “apt autoremove && apt upgrade”.
But the install media for my desktop at home was 18.04, and it’s running 26.04 now. It has an AMD GPU, so it hasn’t had update problems.

To add even more background, Eunice Newton Foote discovered the greenhouse effect in 1856. Right there, in the very first scientific paper describing the heat-trapping property of CO2, she predicted global warming. (Other scientists had caught on that atmospheric gases trap heat decades earlier, without being able to know which ones.)
By 1896, Svante Arrhenius had quantified it, actually calculating the increases in temperature due to increases in atmospheric CO2.
The modern petroleum industry appeared around the same time. The oil companies never didn’t know about the connection between oil and climate change.

No, that’s pretty typical even for an experienced Windows admin.
There’s a Nat Geo TV show called Secrets of the Penguins which looks like a possible source. I found a video clip from the production entitled Penguins Invade Camp, but it’s on a Meta site, so I won’t link it here. It doesn’t have this image, but the tents are the same color, at least.
