• I was reading up on that and how they plan on processing it in the Secure Enclave part of the watch. My only concern though is as you move more stuff into the enclave, the bigger the attack surface for the entire enclave becomes. And then at what point is more working being done in the enclave than the rest of the watch basically becoming a useless demarcation of security.

• Yup, long term contracts only benefit them. It locks the customer in, and if the customer can’t follow through, they can go after them for breach, and still have the ability to sell to others and recover their costs. It’s basically a win-win for suppliers.

• Who’s this nobody? I used hibernation extensively. It’s the one way I knew that I could put it in my backpack and not have it suddenly try to turn back on because of a random process or function that could resume from sleep and cook itself in my bag, and it also allowed me to save the battery for the same reason.
