• I tried to like FO76 because I got it free, but I just couldn’t. It was like a mobile game doing the same shit over and over. I played for about a week before I got tired of it and quit.

• Yup. It’s really not that hard, or as expensive as you might think. That’s why… I think it was Obama(?) that said that 100% privacy is impossible. It wasn’t about just the government, but your phone is always trasnmitting something, and unless it’s encrypted beyond the simple IP designations to keep overlap from happening, it’s out there.

  People think it’s secure because they’re not picking up others phone calls anymore but it’s just an invisible wire. A completely unprotected, digital wire. And that wire can be tapped into with the right equipment and knowledge. Whether that’s the government, someone trying to steal your information to sell or use your credit card/bank info, or just the paranoid conspiracy theorist down the street with a suspicious amount of antennas.

  They can even be mobile, it’s small enough to fit in the trunk of a car and you can block 4/5G signals forcing phones in the area down to 2G which is completely unencrypted. They can then transmit a fake text to you with a phishing link. So you should check your settings for an option to block your phone from dropping to 2G.

• Ohh ok I gotcha. Yeah normally you’d have to leave the device discoverable to find it, but you could probably get around that, by just searching for devices transmitting? I’m not sure if meta glasses record stuff to the glasses themselves or if they need to be connected to another device to function. If they can record to the glasses, it’d be harder, but if they need to be connected then you could find them.

  Your phones settings and a Bluetooth device have to have discovery on to connect, but not to detect. So your phone would normally just ignore something like that, but it still detects it. This would just use detection that would be behind the veil of your phone that “normal users” would be interested in.

  Imagine being on a subway and trying to connect your earbuds, and having to go through a list of every single transmitting Bluetooth device in your vicinity. So your phone typically ignores anything already connected and not discoverable. The way I would do it is to open up that list of detectable, but not discoverable devices, and search for the identifier of the meta glasses. However, like I said, if they can record internally, it could be much harder to discover, especially if the user is savvy enough to keep it in that mode, and disable Bluetooth every time they go out to use them.

• Ehhh it did used to happen. And it didn’t have to be someone with debilitating issues as strong as down syndrome or autism. Back in the 90’s everyone from dyslexics to down syndrome, to people with social anxiety were called retarded. Even a simple idea got called retarded if it wasn’t the norm.

• I generally agree. And I never use the word anymore, but I get where they’re coming from. Personally I wouldn’t say it cause it gives them permission to say it as well, and they’ll abuse it til it’s lexicon again. So personally I’d rather use loser, stupid or any of the other words that also describe them.

  However I’m sure in person, arguing with a MAGAt would piss me off to the point of saying it. That’s why I just openly disregard these people off the cuff. Roll my eyes and move on. Like what they’re saying isn’t even worth reacting to because it’s so beneath me.

• To be realistic, they don’t need ammunition. They just make it up anyways. It’s not about being civil and cordial anymore. Points have to be made.

  “Not giving them ammunition” means getting ignored. We can’t afford to be ignored anymore. Shit is urgent. The Epstein class needs to be afraid or we wait until they build the technology and infrastructure that allows them to completely ignore our needs/demands forever.

  Especially when the right is also mad about the tech. Strike while the iron is hot. Now is the time to act, not just have discussions. And I don’t mean violence, but let them know that card is on the table otherwise we the people will continue being ignored.

• Honestly just easier to leave it at home. Or in your vehicle, assuming you didn’t pass by the camera on your way, and leave it sufficiently far enough away. I doubt they can read RFID from cards yet, even at a close enough distance to cut the pole down, but might want to leave those at home as well.

• Let’s say that ball is a hand grenade. Who gave it to you? It can’t be JUST the user if it’s that dangerous. Finally parents are being held to account if a kid uses a firearm inappropriately. The same should apply to companies who build AI, if it’s used to hack someone or make CSAM.
