Yes, having higher bandwidth means that the range is reduced because the receiver has a wider bandwidth to listen to and there’s more radio noise in wider bandwidth.
However, at least in the US, we are allowed to use up to 1 watt, whereas those poor Russians are only allowed to use 0.025 watts.

I will not comply. I do not care how hard it makes my life. This is a line in the sand I will not cross. If a social media asks me to upload my government-issued ID, that’s the end of that social media. If a computer asks me to use my government ID to use it, that’s not a computer I will use. The only online service I can see that would need my government issued ID is my bank. And that’s only because they are required to collect it in order for me to have an account. Everything else can go fuck right off.

Linux security has kind of had two things going for it for a long time. Linux kind of had security through obscurity, because even though it’s open source, not many people have used it until recently, so it was more valuable to target Windows systems. Secondly, since Linux is open source, any flaws that malware did exploit to gain a foothold were quickly patched, making the malware useless. So a Linux malware developer would end up developing a piece of malware for a less commonly used system that would get patched faster, making it nearly pointless to do so except against extremely high value targets.

I just today started using the new Tor VPN app. I have been using InviZible from F-Droid in SOCKS proxy mode for almost 2 years now, but not all apps support directing their network traffic through a SOX proxy. And so, some apps I was not able to do over Tor. I think the day will come where we as free people have to abandon the clear net entirely and do everything over Tor and I2P. The clearnet is going to become nothing except for ID upload verification screens.

I think low battery notifications should be part of AOSP, so they should be in all Android flavors. So the fact that you don’t have them seems odd to me.
Personally, I’m using an app called BatteryBot from FDroid. It doesn’t do much, but what it does allow you to do is set notifications at custom battery percentages. So I have it set to send an alert and vibrate my phone when it gets below 30% and then I plug it in and charge it up to 80% where the system has been set to stop charging it and I get another alert once it hits 80%. Well, okay, to be fair, I have it set to go off at 80%, but it does not go off until it’s above 80%, so I have the phone charged to 81%, and it doesn’t go off at 30%. It goes off when the charge drops below 30%, so it goes off at 29%.

Proving all this in court could give Samsung a powerful weapon moving forward. Legal experts believe the company might take sworn statements straight to the US International Trade Commission, a body with the authority to block foreign products from entering the country entirely.
Which does not help because not every country will ban them and The other manufacturers will then have less demand and therefore have to reduce their prices in order to continue selling the same amount
Edit: Doing so may slow the rate of the price decline in the US, but it will not stop it.

I think there might be a signal fork similar to how Mali operates that would let you use it on a Linux phone but I’ve only heard about it in passing and so I don’t know the name of it but you might want to take a look
That’s something I will need to look into as well when I eventually make the switch.
If nothing else, you can use WayDroid until you get the apps you need. I understand that it’s still using Android as a crutch, but at least the base system would be Linux.

I think they will eventually do it. Or they will make a new system and not have it be open source. And leave AOSP to languish. And this is why my next device is going to be a device that supports post-market OS.
I’m going to make sure of that before I buy it, because even if it’s difficult, it will be worth the switch.

I like this idea. Let the government print tons of money and buy these companies, and while they’re doing that, my net worth will go up since I hold my net worth in Monero and not Fiat.
Edit: Maybe this will teach people that the government doesn’t care about you and that the only safe thing to hold is something they can’t print out of thin air.

I’ve been doing some looking into sodium ion batteries for the last couple of months and it sounds like it’s going to drastically reduce the price of batteries and sodium ion is more thermally stable and can handle cold temperatures of negative 40 and can handle hot temperatures.
I’m also hearing charge cycle counts around 10,000, which would be something like 20 years worth of battery usage.
The current downside is power density and even that is not terrible as it’s pretty close to what LFP does now and They think they can improve it more in the future.
Sodium ion is already being used in some mass market cars that don’t need an incredible range, but need to be economical.
Check out incognet.io. You can buy a domain and pay for it with Monero.
And you do not have to give information about yourself. You are identified as incognit user, and then the company’s street address.
With that said, you don’t actually own the domain because it is in their name with their street address, so it’s mainly a for-benefit of type arrangement where the company actually owns it, and then they allow you to use it. As I said, you can pay with Monero, and the only thing you have to give them is an email address and a password, and they accept alias email addresses.
