European Commission - European Commission Commission designates ChatGPT, Reddit, Roblox under Digital Services Act Today, the Commission has designated ChatGPT as a Very Large Online Search Engine (VLOSE), as well as Reddit and Roblox as Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs), under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

These entities serve as the Digital Services Coordinators respectively for Ireland and for the Netherlands, where the designated services are established.

  Yeah. I don’t know about the Netherlands but Ireland’s specialty seems to be protecting big tech from consequences, while making EU citizens vulnerable to online abuse and radicalisation.
  
  Britain left the EU to become “sovereign” and hasn’t done any better so I’m not sure who we can trust to regulate these platforms.

    The Netherlands just fined Tesla for like 800M, so it’s not as bad as Ireland; but don’t forget it’s not some random coincidence these non-European companies chose to put their headquarter in these places.
