Because as soon as you see $50, you know it’s money. With 50$ you have to read the fifty and then figure out what it is 50 of.
You can disagree with that, as your comment already does, I’m just answering the why.
So it’s in50, because otherwise you have to figure out, that the 50 is 50 inch?
