Raspberry Pi is intentionally blocking RAM capacity upgrades
Raspberry Pi is actively preventing enthusiasts from upgrading soldered memory to a larger configuration even when the replacement chip is technically compatible. The company says the restriction is intended to discourage unofficial high-capacity resales.
You’ll know it isn’t a genuine Raspberry Pi because it won’t cost $35… right…?
It’s not like they cost 35€ anymore… But I know you know but damn ! They had to make it so expensive…
