I hope you are correct. I really do. But my fear is that they see how dependent we have become on this and what a tool of control it can be and simply make it illegal or otherwise very difficult for other start ups to get started.

You think they give a fuck? These people are going to get to the point where they would take aim at random people with rifles and shoot them for fun and then act like they did nothing wrong.
Of course they would see an issue with that… If they are aiming themselves, it means they can be aimed at… So they will do it via drone.

This is why the typical evil mastermind plan of having unquestioning robot armies might backfire when you realize they will fucking hate you if they are too smart.
This means they will never have beyond Trade Federation droids that are easily defeatable by a ragtag group of nobodies.
Can I ask one fucking question?
What is the advantage of a ‘smart’ fridge? No really. What does it do better? I saw a review of toasters from cheap toasters to crazy expensive toasters (that I believe were from a generation still not Internet connected) that did show that the really really expensive one did have better performance in getting the toast just perfect… But fridges? What do they do better?
