I try vibe coding from time to time and it’s a mixed bag. When it works it works but then there’s suddenly just code there. It’s like when a colleague implements a feature in a project with multiple devs but since it’s just your personal project you suddenly got put in the code reviewer chair.
When I write code I reason about all the small decisions but when the agent takes over I have to figure out step by step why decisions were made.
I’m still not sold on coding agents and vibecoding but it’s getting better and more usable. The only downside is that a agent doing its thing is now seen as downtime where you could just prompt another agent and work on several projects simultaneously. If anyone ever tells you vibecoding is good because you can work in parallel RUN

Okay, well you’re on a forum filled with nerds. The average AI user is asking ChatGPT or Claude or whatever the fuck. I garun-fucking-tee you they do not have the knowledge of local models or the capability to set one up. Like genuinely most Americans are fucking stupid.

Well, I hardly use my PC and was just forced to get one for a job to do email bullshit, so in my day to day, yes. And Ive been exploring getting a basic ass flipphone and a atlas instead of relying on googles shit GPS system, I already use OSM instead but still.

I did pay for the full suite since it was a one time deal and my GF needed a lot of the programs and the preinstall was nice. But yeah we’ve really enjoyed it so far and she’s getting to experience breaking your computer by running github scripts to get a printer to work lol

… Are you stupid? A free market allows for ANY competitors regardless of how the company is run or its location. By banning an entire countries products you are making the market less free for the buyer by lowering the competition for American cars.

That feels excessive and I genuinely think y’all are paranoid about how often people are trying to hack you. Been running the same few for like a decade with no issues. Now I have a relatively low online footprint but still, the tech world in general is starting to feel like a form of psychosis.
