US Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy reported on Sunday, Aug. 9, that 94% of the hiring goal has been met, with the most ever employed in a single year.
He wrote in a social media post: “2,000+ “best & brightest” candidates in the pipeline — reaching the Academy quicker than any class before them, thanks to the most streamlined hiring process.”
In April, it was stated that there were almost 11,000 controllers in service, with more than 4,000 trainees in the pipeline.
The pipeline is the 1-3 years of training it takes before they’re certified to be air traffic controllers.
Only thing I could think of is some sort of ‘moving house mode’ where it warms back up but dries everything out to prevent mold growth on the coils due to condensation.
