Is that true globally? I seem to remember that some ocean areas wouldn’t have as many satellites visible as e.g. polar orbits don’t visit all of the globe.

The only thing I can think is that they’re comparing with a single system (e.g. GPS or BeiDou), even though GNSS receivers will combine all four systems to get very high accuracy (a few metres).

I’m guessing it mostly flew in circles, since it’s a test flight that happened “at Plattsburgh International Airport” instead of between two locations. 27 minute flight, whatever that’s worth.

Love the commitment to the bit. I was unsurprised to learn that the owner is a physicist and an injured runner meaning he has both the time and motivation to geek out on data and live vicariously.
I thought all the gaps on the page were photos that hadn’t loaded, but they’re just removed ads :( Zero photos.
