The short answer: Legally, maybe. Ethically, no.

Oh, Ghost 2.x.
Hopefully it goes just as well as the original Ghost.

I wonder what he'll build next, now that he has time for his own projects again. Obviously that's how to prove that Automattic wasn't just a fluke.

Honestly, it's just become my default for anything that hits the surface level "huh, that's cool...but how or why?" check nowadays. LLMs generate material that matches surface level interest without the 'why', because there's no actual thoughts or emotions to give a reason. So whenever I see a "cool" remake of a game in a different way, I start out assuming it's an LLM project driven by some slop-happy inhuman fleshbeast that doesn't understand what human elements made the old thing cool in the first place.
So basically it's just a gut feeling that something is 'off'.

He's probably switched over to the version that he's making money from, frankly.

It would absolutely become too much if the costs were involved, or the hyperactive nature of the apps was there. It'd be a great criticism of the industry though.

Fair enough. I admit, as someone who can't drive IRL, I like things like Slow Roads too, or other driving sims that are generally not fantasy - just 'cozy' experiences.
I wouldn't necessarily mind a ride-sharing or road trip simulator with decent dialogue or something like procedural generation for the passengers. But it's also something I would never pay money toward.

Oh good, I can focus on only 15% of Japanese game devs! That's a relief!
