The problem is capitalism because it creates extreme unelected power in an extremely small self interested minority
I’d say its not capitalism itself but rather representative forms of governance. Once you introduce representatives into the election system these positions are going to be filled with egoists in the long run because they naturally distill the minority of assholes in a society to the top. For reference: Representative communism leads to the same problems with the same overall outcome.

But also Meta, X and Tiktok are allowed tp push anti-democrartic propaganda 24/7 to a majority of the population and the owner class is highly interested in freeing itself from those annoying democratic rules and regulations.

That would imply that productivity gains aren’t to be hoarded by the wealthy but instead are distributed between all workers not matter if Western or Chinese. An idea neither elite in West or East are fond off and will fight aganinst till their last breath.

I can only repeat myself: All social media platforms currently belong to dictatorships and their supporters.
“What happened that the right suddenly became so powerful?”
Trump happened. Meta, X, and others programmed their algorithms with just a few clicks to push right-wing narratives.
Since a large portion of the Western population gets its news from these platforms and spends a lot of time there, the rise of the right is no surprise—it doesn’t really need any explanation.

The point is that its also possible that the rightwing bubble is fueled in their approval of the US via social media, since the owners actively support the US admin.

Every couple of days I see a headline ,Why is right wing populism on the rise world wide even though it fucks up the US currently?" -> Simple: Because the people fucking up the US own the main sources of information for a majority around the world.

The US would like to be as compitive as China with its strategic subsidies but is a actually a lame duck trying to protect its uncompetitive companies with tarifs. The exact contrary of what China is doing.
Both sides are bleeding their work force dry, one for profit (US) and one for global indluence (China).
