yeah over a group. The thing is the investment definately will not meet needs. I have been doing the math on my retirement for many decades and it did not work out even when times are good and now its worse. Gambling has a non zero chance of meeting all needs if the pot is big enough. I get why people get desperate. Heck I used to buy a lottery ticket here and there back when it was a relatively paltry amount relative to my income.

Many are skeptical that there is a push by ai companies to make them appear more than they are due to their weak economic footing. From my experience with the llms I am not frightened they will become self aware. I am frightened that we are wasting energy and resources while polluting the planet further for little return and it will result in messing up our economies even more.

thats blatantly not true. globalism is about dodging regulation and lower paid employees. If quality of product were the main forces then germany and japan would have kept up the way they do things and be dominant. The china followed the us dollar dominated efficiency standard where quality is titrated to lowest good enough level.

I had this with various commands to provide references and such. They made an area where it is supposed to store long term commands and its supposed to be able to add it to there and after going in circles I found that it explained if one of my commands are related to the under the hood google commands it won’t put it in its long term area for me and conveniently tries its damndest to not explain that is why its not doing it.

so annoying the local news mentions. this only applies in within the boarders of amerca. no. no it doesn’t. executive orders are directions to the federal government. Its basicaly a memo to the agencies that they have to do that but no state or local government or private individual need follow it and I imagine most federal workers just avoid dealing with something now with the name of the lake. Once again I can’t wait for the next president to make an executive order changing the name of donald trump.
