• Nothing I could tell you could prove we’re not that kind of company without doxxing myself. I can just tell you that I’m usually the first person trying to dispel the illusion that LLMs can replace people. Wether people like it or not, it’s a powerful and helpful tool in the right hands, that is changing day to day workflows. Wether people like it or not, it remains nothing more than a tool, that needs the right skills and settings, nothing revolutionary.

• I know I’m going to catch flak for it, but I definitely see use cases where LLMs (AI hasn’t been invented yet) do increase productivity. All my devs use them for their daily work and haven’t once questioned that it’s useful. However, they know when to use LLMs and when not too. That is definitely not the case for the general populace and is further accentuated by big tech unnecessarily cramming that stuff in everything. That’s what’s creating an ecological and societal issue that’s rightfully driving the negative sentiments

• I use freefilesync. You can tailor what is copied where and save it to an executable batch file. If you want to trigger the batch file when your external drive is plugged in you can create a udev rule. Best is you look that up yourself, since it heavily depends on your system (no chatgpt tho!).

• The EUDI wallet is advertising that it can prove your ID on device and just send a “is over 18” confirmation. So at least in theory, the wallet should provide verification without giving your ID to whatever service you want to use. I do doubt however, that ot will work that smoothly and securely in practice

• I use Mullvad + Tor myself from time to time. So I read through the article to understand what issues might come up. Turns out it’s actually advantageous in most cases with a few exceptions. If you use Mullvad (0 logs) and pay through monero/cash/vouchers (no money trail) you’re (slightly) better off.

• IIRC take off and landing is using a huge portion of the fuel needed in regular planes. If you can use this new technology to do those manoeuvres, it would also be a big win for general flights.
