I’m confused what you think a better alternative would be? If there was a test number, what if that worked, but you couldn’t call the real 911? There’s no way around it: to be absolutely sure your phone can contact 911, you have to… dial 911. They simply recommend you give them a heads-up on the non-emergency line to make sure they’re not too busy at the moment.

It looks like they removed all AI (except for narration). I’d prefer if even that was done by a voice actor, but oh well…

I couldn’t care less about this. Every online store lets you store your payment information, so no matter whether you type, scan, tap, or upload your card, you only have to do it once (whether that’s a good thing or not).
The worse issue is that Sony is arguing in court that you don’t own your copy of a game and is discontinuing them on discs so you’ll have no choice but to buy it from their store. Say goodbye to meaningful sales and discounts, and they’ll just remove it from your PlayStation when the rights expire or it’s inconvenient for them…
