• In my experience (Surface 7 using first the linux-surface kernel and then Nobara), KDE is way behind Gnome in touch support. OSK is way worse, general GUI design is not touch friendly, worse pen support… And that is before extensions like gjs oak for gnome.

• I doubt this is about “attraction” (quotes because that is too nice a word). Much more likely they want compromising material to gain a political advantage. No less despicable, probably more so.
