Yes, game prices include VAT. In Europe any displayed prices be they in a supermarket or on an online store always include VAT. It’s not even allowed to advertise prices without including VAT.

Each country has their own laws determining what is or isn’t appropriate. So just because a game has a certain rating in one country doesn’t mean it will have the same one in a different one.
Australia is also very strict with depictions of certain things. For example they have a law that says your game can’t show real life drugs giving you bonuses and power-ups. You can see this with the modern Fallout games where Med-X was initially supposed to be called morphine but the Australians word have banned the game from sale if it shipped with that. So they changed it to the fictitious Med-X.

The game is pretty hand-off an can leave you feeling lost at the start.
The game is procedurally generated but there are some things that are always there no matter what.
Try talking to all the NPCs in settlements. They are all either merchants or quest givers. NPCs can be very varied in what they are. They can be your run of the mill humanoids but they can also be monsters, trees, plants, robots and a lot of other things. The quest giver NPCs offer two types of quests, procedural generated quests where the quest, quest target and rewards are basically random and fixed quests. Fixed quests usually are very similar between runs but they can also have some random parts.
Settlements are also procedural and fixed. The fixed settlements will show as a landmark on the world map while the procedural ones won’t. Settlements can also stretch across multiple screens so don’t be afraid to look around.
The main quest line is a great introduction to the game and will offer you but early, mid game and late game goals. I suggest you start with the recommended village instead of a random one. The mayor gives you a quest to kill a creature that is like a few screens North of the village. There is also a tinker that gives you a quest and a merchant. Once you finish the tinker’s quest the plot proceeds from there.
Otherwise just explore, look for cool things and have fun

You need to understand all the proofs in the chain so you can verify they work. It’s a thing you learn in grammar school when they teach you to write the steps down to a solution instead of just the final result.

Aren’t all the sources we got for these from the AI companies themselves? Has any neutral third party investigated the claims? Because to me this just seems like some stupid marketing ploy. Like even if the hacks happened how can they tell it was the AI agent and not the person in charge of it doing it? Like are there specific markers left behind?

Because it was a soulless designed by committee game. It somehow managed to put out some of the most boring and dead designs in a game of its type.
It was a live service game at launch so it expected people to put in time to progress and grind but any of the rewards for that grind was just eh.
So people saw it for what it was and just didn’t bother with it.

Wait. Doesn’t the PROTECT Act deal with this?
Prohibits computer-generated child pornography when “(B) such visual depiction is a computer image or computer-generated image that is, or appears virtually indistinguishable from that of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct”; (as amended by 1466A for Section 2256(8)(B) of title 18, United States Code).
Wouldn’t this fall under that? I’m confused.

TF are you on about. We’re in the middle of the strongest El Nino ever recorded. We have giant uncontrollable wildfires all over the planet, and they are getting more and more common. France used to get a major wildfire every few decades, now it’s like every 2 to 3 years. Europe keeps breaking temperature records basically every summer now.

Flock is bad but they aren’t the only ones. All the camera providers work with the police and some don’t even disclose it. I remember watching a John Oliver bit where they got their hands on the logs of the cameras the police accessed and for how long. One of them was in a local gym during the yoga class.

However in their earnings call they reported smth like 1 billion in revenue, and, while I wasn’t clear on whether it’s everything or just GTA6, that would still mean people placed anywhere between 5-14 million preorders.
Well from what I see on their website they put out their Q1 2027 earnings report which reports 1.534 billion earnings for the quarter. Q1 ended on June 30th so it only includes 5 days of GTA VI preorders. It’s also lower that their earnings in Q1 2026 which wouldn’t be the case if they had a really big boost of preorders.
For Q2 2027, which ends on September 30th 2026 and would include most of the GTA 6 preorder period, they predict revenue of 1.62-1.67 billion. Q2 2026 was 1.774 billion.
You’re telling me that for one of the most expected game releases in the last decade they are expecting to make only 100 million in pre-orders. That’s like 1 million 100$ pre-orders, now way they would sell that few.
So yea I think the CEO may be talking out of his ass.
