• As someone who grew up with the series, MGSV was my favorite one. I like constant gutpunches in war stories, and the gameplay was a nice ramp up from guerilla to god. It definitely took the opposite approach to ending a storyline than 4 did. Very different from the other games but I like the big swing they took which hit for me.

  I would place this one in place 5 out of the 5 games in the MGS series, but considering it’s one of the best game series of all time it’s still one of my all time classics. Be prepared for more cutscene than game which require a PhD in Metal Gear lore to comprehend, but the gameplay can be very satisfying. It’s a great finale to the original timeline. 9/10.
