• For iSCSI, ita best to dedicate a port from each host and enable jumbo frames (mtu 9000) to get the most out of it.

  Also try to dedicate a port for proxmox vm usage. Vnet off these 3 connections too.

• The problem is finding qualified people to be controllers. IiRC, something like 3000 apply for certification per year and only 150 make it.

• I do volunteer work for nonprofits. Its amazing that normal people think we are swimming in cash… newsflash, we are not.

  The IT budget is nothing so alot of what i do is setup open source stuff to meet needs…think libreoffice erc.

  External storage for large backups is not on the table. And no one wants the reaponsibilty of shuffling external backup drives to and from.
