• Killing people who keep abusing that position of power within an exact amount of time however would either get rid of the position or stop the abuse eventually.

  There’s only so many times a person in a very specific position can be struck by lightning or have a heart attack before everyone sees that position as cursed or becomes superstitious about it.

• Deathnote can kill in any way you want as long as it’s realistic. Not sure how they’d figure it out. Which means that at some point people will start to think divine intervention, especially if ending the war stops the heart attacks / eagle attacks / flag poles falling on said leader, or whatever other symbolism you’d choose.

• They have tried raising them before remember? Frieren gave the example of the child demon that still killed it’s adoptive parents and more even though it had been forgiven and such. That same story implied that humans have tried giving demons chances in the past, and that every single chance didn’t work out. Not to mention there hasn’t been a single demon that’s talked about a “vegan/vegetarian” demon. With how long lived they are, that would have gotten around by now, especially for someone as long lived as an elf. At some point she would have heard of it too.

  And every demon executed so far has been hostile, either attacking or already mid-hunt.

• That’s still humanizing the demons too much.

  There’s at least human vegans / vegetarians.

  There’s no equivalent to that for the demons. That’s the point 😅

  And that’s despite chickens etc not being capable of human speech or looking human. The number would be much higher if they did.

• You can automate a task to analyze the network traffic (though don’t underestimate human checks - remember the guy that noticed something was off by like 0.1% and discovered the logistics attack on Linux?).

  Also, you can probably trust hardware made yourself that’s more than that, like FPGA.

• The difference between being unwillingly ignorant and being ignorantly stupid is not knowing something, and thinking that someone that does know something is pompous.

  Now, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt because you’re a .de Lemmy, but in American Best Buy, the people op is talking about are supposed to be salespeople who’s job is literally to know basics about what they’re selling. There’s even people dedicated to each department for that reason. Kind of like Power, if you have that there (we have it in Finland but I know it’s Swedish).

  Or to put it in a term you might know, imagine going to a car dealership, and the salesperson doesn’t know if the gasoline car they’re saying you should buy is a V4 or V6, and can’t tell you how many MPG it gets. They just know it’s a car made by (brand).

• Isn’t CasaOS deprecated now and replaced with ZimaOS? Also, does that mean you’re running it in something like Gnome Boxes? Because from what I remember CasaOS was customized Debian

• Printer network access is one of the oldest tricks in the books. They didn’t really try to sandbox it if they gave it access to a printer (especially since it’s task didn’t even require a printer).
