• Every system has architecture which is good for something and bad for else. That’s basic software development. You cannot optimize endlessly. At some point you have to choose that A is more important than B and to achieve better A you need significant change in architecture designed for B. This cost time and money. Not a little, because rewriting game engine stops game development and requires specialized game engine developers, NOT game developers (users of engine). Maybe it will be news for you but C-suite do not care about game engine development, it’s not the product they sell, they sell finished game. Epic’s Unreal is product, it’s getting good budget in the company which is 4 times bigger in head count and 20 times higher in revenue.

  If you still going to reply with another “but just”, then I’m giving up on trying to reason with you. I recommend Newstainleo do same as I see they are trying to get this point across to you too.

• You need massive budget to r&d game engine and come up with something truly innovative. That’s not something game studio of this size can do when they have to keep things going to retain players and investors. You also need use-case for what you innovated, otherwise you just wasted time and money.

• By fake I mean business which officially registered but effectively does nothing, files 0 profit tax forms and pays just enough fees to keep it formally open. It doesn’t hide your identity from government but it does allow you to access content via countries where there is no age verification thus companies don’t get your id

• This is kremlin propaganda. Ukrainians didn’t want to join NATO until Russia poked its nose. Maidan of 2013 was about getting closer to EU, not NATO. Btw, that’s why it’s called Euromaidan, not Natomaidan. At that moment only 33% Ukrainians wanted to join NATO. NATO became relevant after Russia annexed Crimea in the Spring of 2014, only after that, in November 2014 over 50% wanted to join NATO. Which is kinda “what did you expected moment” when one of your supposed security guarantor waving finger at another supposed guarantor in response of sovereignty and territorial integrity violation.
