• You know now that you mention it, the internet makes me believe that there’s a vastly larger amount of trans women than men, but I too only know trans men directly. I do wonder what the proportion is, if it matches whatever the ratio of men to women is. I also wonder what percentages are when you consider enby people and what those numbers do to the overall percentages.

  Obviously the numbers are skewed by people who can’t be open about for one reason or another, but still curious either way.

• Not sure where you’re at but I do this frequently. Also do an IMDb pick an actor and a movie and see how quickly you can get that movie by navigating cast lists and credits I.e Will Smith > Ad Astra

  Will Smith > Men in Black > Tommy Lee Jones > Ad Astra. That’s a simple one, but you get the idea.

• It reminds me that over on Reddit there was a younger priest, I think he must be around 30 right now, that was a well known Linux user.

  As someone who was raised Catholic, but hasn’t gone to church in a minute, I think Jesus would approve of at least that one aspect of that priest’s life. I don’t know about any other.

• Maybe it’s an issue of perspective. I see them as replacements for Twitter and Facebook and for me specifically I was posting the same things on both, its just that I had some people exclusively on one or the other, so when deciding to cut things, it made sense for me to only setup one given not many people I was communicating with were using either Mastodon or Friendica. I guess the core issue is either I’ve never really been using social media properly, or I just don’t know what the core usecase/structure for Friendica/Facebook actually is.

• Genuine question, are there a good number of people using Friendica? I looked at it back in like 2017 or whenever Hak5 did a video about setting up Friendica servers, but it always seemed like Mastodon was the way to go, I know they aren’t technically filling the same space, but still.
