on New Twitter launches, says Musk's X gave up the name in c/technology@lemmy.world · 27 Aug 2026
But spend more money? $8 on that piece of shit “X” site. Fucking joke show.
But you can pay $20 for the premium instantaneous social media aggregate algorithm site! You’ll get all the top paid for profit sponsored posts first before anyone else! Just imagine retweeting your friends minutes before they see this million dollar donated Pepsi ad that is collaborating with Oreo! Whooooaaaaaa! You’ll be the most popular person in your friend group for 15 seconds! But make sure you share first or else you’ll be ostracized by everyone because you didn’t pay an extra $9.99 for ultra fast retweet privilege!

We get it. You don’t want children to learn to read at a young age. You’re so edgy.

Don’t most children need reading material after the age of 5?
Most people after the age of 5 can borrow books from the library.
This is for new parents to get books to read to and with their small children to increase childhood literacy and encourage them to read at a later age, like 5+ years old.

And I’m going to keep dead naming X as Twitter until Musk stops dead naming his daughter.
I’ll dead name Twitter long after Musk stops dead naming his daughter, or he himself is dead. X is a stupid fucking name.

also, they already have investors so it’s dead at birth for me
Launching with the immediate intent for profit screams either a scam (Especially with Musk being kind to give up the name, massive red flag).

Yeah. God forbid a woman WANTS to work.
My partner is permanently disabled. We’re a single income home. They WISH they could work, as we struggle to get by sometimes.

That’s what I’ve always found hilarious about the white knighting for femenism. It’s literally about choice, and a woman’s right to choose. If they CHOOSE to be a housewife, more power to them and they shouldn’t be belittled for it.

If something can come out of nowhere and dominate a already established platform… That platform probably already sucked to begin with.

Twitter was a shit hole the second it launched.
It just became a bigger shit hole when the Nazi bought it.
Twitter has always sucked. It’s almost entirely responsible for the reason we have such a need for immediate information. There is no patience anymore or even reputable journalism and reporting because being first is more important than being right.
The reason the media is as shit as it is now is almost directly causes by Twitter. It should have been shut down years ago.
Hahaha engagement bait lawl you complete fell for it!
