They have a point. Mouse model research translation to human disease has a poor track record. Mouse model labs spin in circles between models and never try to translate into humans. Some diseases stall for decades in models.
The mouse’s brain plasticity is orders of magnitude higher than a human’s.

My institution has a travel warning to the US.
We cannot cross the border by car, only in airports.
We cannot travel without a phone, with a burner, or with a wiped phone. We have to memorize our lawyer’s number when we are detained. We are told we have no rights and have to comply to any request, this means bend over. Fuck that. No more US travel.

Warren Buffet bought 10% of BYD because US options were all losers. From 2008 to 2022 he made $8.75B.

I started a biotech in 2016, once VC got involved with their CEO, it became a massive grift that I called out and was subsequently divested. By 2022, the company sold to pharma for $154M, by 2026, the entire project was worthless. VC and CEO made about $148M.
