There’s also websites that for some reason only request a username/e-mail and then send you a one time login code, requiring me to open my e-mail program instead of having a one click login with my password manager…

I would regret the power usage of running 20 small hard drives as opposed to a few big ones but the cost of electricity is definitely still smaller than the cost of big hard drives

The last time I upgraded my phone was only because my grandmother wanted a newer one and told me to upgrade so she could get my old one
You can use a gps logging app (I use gps logger on android) to create gps tracks and sync them with your photos via the timestamp. Digikam has a tool for that built in, not sure what other software supports it.
This way I don’t have to manually tag every photo but instead only those where the gps failed because I was underground or where I forgot to turn it on
