I played WoW Classic when it first came out. I have not really done much questing at all. Just quickly pushed myself to a level where i can start doing dungeons & then did those to 60, had a pretty good time doing it too.
On retail questing is a bit better, not great but better. Still wouldn’t do it, but Blizzard is basically forcing everyone to do them these days.

I was trying to demonstrate a point, IF YOU DID THAT with PostmarketOS the battery would drain like crazy still. In normal use you would need to charge your phone twice a day. (or maybe even 3-4 times, depending on the specific device)

The list of well supported phones is vanishingly small & what’s even worse is that it’s not really daily drivable on any device. The idle battery drain is immense with the modem on. Honestly I’m not even certain that without a proper relationship with the hardware vendors it’s possible to build something that doesn’t drain itself in 2 days of idling.

Jolla is a startup that is taking advantage of foss being free & are not really contributing back. All the innovations they made to actually make their Linux phone usable is lost to the community at large.
I think we need something similar to the Lenovo + Graphene collab. Mass produced phones sold at commodity prices with a usable Linux option.

Frontier models today have a context window of 1 million. KDE is an interesting case, because not only does it have a serious spaghetti code problem, it’s also fairly modular, so Ai could probably contribute very effectively to parts of it & perhaps even explain & comprehend some past developer choices that are not that human comprehensible anymore. (and being familiar with one of the current active KDE developers, I’d be surprised if he were not vibecoding like a boss)

I think It’s incredibly hard to predict where this is going and at what rate. Public sentiment is largely biased based on AI hate…
“Dumb” agents given too much power could do an untold amount of damage already, we wouldn’t even need further breakthroughs. For example I can totally imagine that some degree of Ai control could act as a trigger for the Kessler effect, this is plausible today.

I think SK Hynix’s projection is incredibly naive. I’d be surprised if by 2028 the Chinese haven’t captured this market yet, inevitably impacting prices.
You don’t have to be an oracle to expect this, it is a fact that CXMT is already scaling up consumer DDR5 production. Yes they are behind in technology, but home users won’t care much as long as they can put them into their DDR5 mobos & run them in dual channel…
Anyway my prediction is that 2 years from now the prices will be significantly down, but still high compared the business as usual & the moment the bubble pops -if it does & not before 2029- prices will go down to what’s normal or even below normal for the larger sticks.

Who cares if it gets it right 99% of the time? Who cares if the next model is 99.9%? It’s not 100%! That means it’s a ticking clock until something major fucks up!
This is a really weak argument. Getting right 99.9% of the time is extraordinarily good in many fields, superhuman even. The human brain is also a non-deterministic system. Surgeons make mistakes too, there is no such a thing as a 100% reliable human.

Imo AI is already super powerful in the flaky oracle role, maybe even in CS, but agents left to their own devices is not it, not by a long shot.
