• Just don’t use it, and say that you’re doing your job just fine without it. Get your coworkers involved. We have weekends because people fought and died for them and now we can’t even say “no” to vague commands to use Ai? C’mon, there’s gotta be a spine in there somewhere, right?

• You do have to use them correctly. I know a lot of people who use them irresponsibly, who don’t have the emotional intelligence to understand how the experience is going to be different(and therefore manage their emotional expectations*), and who match with way too many people for basically nothing while denying others over trivial things.

  *You should be very into people and they should be into you, but how crushes develop from online dates is simply fundamentally different. You will likely not get the same “oh my god who is that?!” moment from someone you’ve already spoken to and who you know already wanted to go on a date with you.

• I stopped paying when they started to openly support Israel. I’m fine with paying a service to maintain itself and Youtube is storing a LOT of high quality video, but giving away millions worth of support to a genocidal state is not something a streaming service’s operating costs should include sooooo fuck ‘em. • Still happens all the time, but few people know about it. The US and Canada have such dead, sterilized cultures that most people aren’t even aware of old time, bluegrass, Quebecois, Métis, or Irish and Cape Breton music beyond thinking they’re just something quirky for a half-dozen rural people. There are public jams in even the biggest cities, and there’s usually at least one person either there or walking by who dances a silly little dance.

  Not surprised, in Ireland the Dance Halls Act was literally designed to kill music in people’s homes so that they couldn’t gather in the same way and could only do so while being watched by the English. You kill off community cohesion and you kill off its ability to fight back.

  I do genuinely think AI is soulless and that alone is enough, but entirely separate of that its implementation is nothing but environment destroying, health fucking, brain sucking, garbage being used to spy on people. It’s all the bad shit that ever Cyberpunk and adjacent media ever has been warning against with none of the cool stuff.

  Also it is definitely different than hating photoshop but if that’s where you’re at I’m going to save myself the anyeurism trying to explain it.

• Despite them being a little out of wack and a terrible communicator, they do have a point. AI’s main selling point is centered around how it can make everyone more productive as if we actually need even more productivity. We’re all more than productive enough, AI is giving us nothing but unemployment(as those left are told to work harder), more climate destabilization, and reduced quality of life for every single living thing nearby a data centre.

  Their first comment was also just plain bad, not gunna defend that at all. They seem kinda loopy.

• You gotta work on your communication, I have zero clue what you’re trying to say. You start off heavily implying at AI is of a high quality, saying nothing else, and then go on about being pro-working class/pro person(I think?), but do it in a way that has holes in just the weirdest places.
