One that’s limited to men.
Limited to wearing smart glasses.
Limited to being on a date.When the real red flag of recording people without their consent at all, isn’t limited to any of those. And it’s not even mentioned in the title.

But men doing it more often isn’t the problem with Wired’s title. It’s that Wired’s title implies it’s only a problem when men do it. Or more specifically, only a problem when men do it with Meta’s glasses.

Using smart phones isn’t a problem because it’s obvious and easy to decline when someone tries. The article itself points that out. But people can put hidden cameras anywhere.

I just thought it strange to say it’s bad when men do a thing with this specific thing, instead of saying it’s bad to do the thing at all.Think if it was flipped around An article said it’s bad for women to eat cereals for breakfast, because cereal turns people into murderers. I’ve used most private browsers.
Never had a problem with Proton not working.It doesn’t use webgl, so that’s not an issue. No idea what else you’re blocking that could be a problem.

Even if they wanted it for authentication purposes, they’d have their own setup through Google. They wouldn’t insist on you having one.Is it just one teacher?
Ask another, see what they say.
If they confirm that’s how it works, then just make a gmail account for school.
If not, then you can decide how much you want to push back and educate this one teacher. -

I’m in the same spot.
Never liked the way Apple does things. Never bought an Apple product. But the last few months, I’ve been considering an Apple TV sub. I’m watching 5 or 6 series, and have enjoyed several of their movies.I might even give up Netflix for it. Which feels strange, since my Netflix account is nearly as old as Netflix itself.
