I was not weighing in on whether or not adding advertisements is a bad thing. I was pointing out how flawed your logic is. “Just doing their job” is not a good defense for the job being done.

I think the point is they can’t upload anything if they’re not connected. Unfortunately, they’re some of the best OLED TVs right now in terms of the display

I would assume they replaced it with an SVG that is rasterized on demand instead of a very high resolution rasterized image.
In terms of coding effort, just replacing a PNG is the easiest, but it’s also the least correct solution, imo.

The point is it’s not just speed of the delivery method, it’s amount of data per delivery. You can average it to bit/second, but you also have to understand that driving 100 TB 5,000 km means no data for the entire drive/flight and then all the data all at once.

You are so close to being right, and yet, so far away.
I did not compare game developers to Nazis. I gave you an example where “just doing their job” is clearly not a useful defense. I was attempting to point out that “just doing their job” is actually never a good defense. It is not relevant to whether or not the job being done should be done.
