• It was the first new console I owned. I still have it and play it quite a bit. I could probably play Luigi’s Mansion blind at this point. Also I love Sunshine. And Double Dash, Air Ride, Melee, Wario World, all the Mario Parties. Then the weirder ones that were multi platform like Zapper, Tak, Looney Tunes, Pacman World 2, and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.

• Well since we’re here, may as well BS a little.

  GTA 5 was the first rated M game I bought myself with my own ID when I was 17. Now, I didn’t get married and have kids like everyone else my age back then, but I did finish high school, start and finish college, am well into my career, and am about to become engaged.

  I’m pretty excited for it, but I’m almost equally as excited for Gears E Day. Been waiting to see E Day played out in-game for almost 20 years now. Also Ocarina. It’s going to be a busy end of the year and I’m here for it after a sort of dry year in general for my gaming up to this point.

• Japanese companies in particular are complete cocks when it comes to refunds. That’s why Nintendo and Sony will just outright ban you forever if you do a chargeback. Nintendo will then give you one final chance, even if you were hacked. Not sure if Sony does. Similarly it’s probably related to Playstation removing Cyberpunk for sale entirely when CD said to just refund it.

• Kind of funny how Nintendo was here before any of this was a problem and they’ll be here after it’s all done. You put that cartridge into your console, and you can play it. It may be version 1.0, but you can play it. And every single physical Switch game that requires a download, must state so on the front of the box, so you can avoid buying them. • The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 I got new is still working fine. Hell, Synapse just started working again for me after like 8 years. I kind of wanted a V4 Pro but the 2013 keeps kicking, so why bother. • I’m closing in on 500 hours and on my 4th run through, first after 1.0 yadda yadda. I don’t think I’ve ever once gone out of my way to do a single quest, ever. That is until 1.0 forced you to do 2 or 3, but that’s it.

  I much prefer the loop of catching, leveling up, leveling your base, and getting new tech. I probably wouldn’t even do the towers if tech wasn’t locked behind them lol
