Know you meant this as rhetorical, but I can speak from my own experience.
Having had our janitor go on leave for a week without replacement, I can sure tell you I missed them by the end of the week.
Meanwhile in an old SME job, our CEO left for an entire fortnight to some corporate BS, and genuinely the only tell was the managers being more friendly and relaxed.

Janitor works quietly in the background making the world around them slightly better whilst getting paid about as little as legally possible.
CEOs loudly ruin the world around them whilst making more than 100x what the janitor makes (and that's just their salary)
I certainly know who I'd want rid of.

Long answer: Officially they will, but they'll continue behind closed doors - as will all their competition.
The chance to stop this globally came and went when we were all laughing about Will Smith eating spaghetti. All these companies are far too invested in this to stop now even if their founders actually wanted them to.

Genuinely. It's getting to the point where the "reasonable" person is being claimed as a mind-reading super-lawyer who knows exactly when they're being lied to.
Rather than the actual average person who takes these companies at their word, assuming that they wouldn't just blatantly lie to their customers.
Which these companies seem to think makes their customers stupid, rather than them being manipulative pieces of shit that take advantage of people who just want to play some videogames in peace.

Yeah, it would be nice to have an actual list so we're not reliant on their numbers alone.
But unfortunately telling only half the story is something Proton seems to do quite a lot.On the bright side, the actual privacy data for this was by Proton's own admission from Exodus, so while its probably not feasible for you to skim 65K apps on your own, you can at least see the data for specific VPN apps you might be worried about.

I mean it's nice to have someone who actually knew Zuckerberg say the quiet part out-loud, but anyone who surprised to hear this must've been living under a rock for the last decade.
Corporations have never cared about the children. In other countries, the same corps that preach about caring for children have them working as slaves in factories. Don't think for a second that they care.

In my eyes anyone wearing one of these is a pervert. I simply don't see who else could be the audience for a purposefully discreet camera built into a pair of glasses.
Even Google's attempt at glasses were more overt that these. I'd say Meta is shameful, but that's not exactly a shocker to anyone at this point.Edit: Seen a few suggestions, but my counterpoint to all of them is - you don't need the camera to discreet fir any of these purposes. You'd only need it to be discreet if you didn't want people to realise you were filming, which just seems aimed towards perverts in my mind.

Well that's a great incentive for clickbait content - cause now it won't matter if you can keep people watching after you've reeled them in.
You'd think this would be against YouTube's own best interest, considering they want to keep you watching, and people don't often like watching that kind of clickbait-farm slop...
Or maybe I and the people I know are in the minority, and a lot of people just watch it whether they like it or not, which would be disappointing to hear.
As if Google and other big providers deciding that giving you bad results so you'd have to view ADs for longer wasn't bad enough for the young people's ability to critically think and find information...
Now they're going to AIs that'll outright lie to them with confidence of someone about to say "I told you so".
