Which many don’t regularly do and now added vertical dimension, more directions to look.
Can you imagine the chaos of hundreds of thousands of flying cars all trying to takeoff or land at the same time during morning and afternoon commutes. It would be glorious to witness, minus the human carnage. Even with the help of air traffic controllers there are still collisions with the current volume of air traffic. In a word, unworkable.
Two obvious solutions to traffic congestion in the US are work from home and replacing the public transport networks that automobile and oil interests dismantled.

I’m afraid Merlin’s addition of videos of automatically running when birds are detected is the beginning of enshitification. Phone charge no longer lasts a full field day with this additional drain on battery. Bird of the day, x number of people listening, I don’t need of want any of this shit. Also dislike can no longer immediately cancel recording without saving, have to wait while application buffers or something before can exit without saving, for a long recording this can take more than 15 seconds. Pity, app is generally very helpful.

And if someone tries to call with new unreported information about an already reported incident? Decision tree or geolocation routes caller to recorded information. No way of knowing if information is important or not without talking to the caller first. Possible downside is far greater than possible benefits.
Edit Multiple calls about shots in neighborhood, if victim is last to call are they forced to listen to an update before triage allows transfer? No sir I don’t like it.
Maybe this is an improvement in this location, but as many have said a staffing issue.
Functional societies have costs, often those costs are far less than dysfunctional societies.
