Every country on this planet does fucked up things. I think it’s good to highlight the good things too, as things to aspire for. Role models are needed, especially in a time of AFD, Le Pen and so on.

Yeah, no kidding. When I was young and stupid I thought we were doing well and actually seriously considered joining up to get sent out. Very happy I didn’t.
But for the rest, I do think our little country does a lot right on the social front, and the associations/organisations are very important. Giving people more ways to casually socialise outside of their immediate circle I think helps build a more open, tolerant society also.

Honestly, for Office, Outlook and Teams you can find alternatives. But in the identity field (Entra), it gets more complicated. No all-in-one replacement options out there that cover everything Entra does, so you end up having to stitch together a bunch of stuff.
I’m all for ditching closed services, especially for governments, but there will be a couple of difficult years before investment in open-source software produce solutions that can match. So, no better time than the present, eh?
