When I left reddit, I asked for accounts on both tildes and kbin. Except tildes was onboarding people in batches, so I'd been active on kbin for like a week before I could create my tildes account, and I just never got momentum over there because of it

While I agree with you, I don't understand why all the companies seem to have switched to AI and fired their experts at the same time. If I was in charge of a company planning that massive a switch to a complete unknown, I'd run two systems in parallel to verify the results before getting rid of all my experts.
Eh. I coil them up in type-sorted ziplocs with labels, and put them in function-sorted drawers (audio, tv/media, PC interior, phone, etc). Doesn't take long to find anything.
