Does enshittified US drone tech even work though? Are America’s drooling cops smart enough to even use them? I’m very sceptical because the US and similarly armed middle east allies seems to be helpless against guys with trucks and jetskis and Ukraine seems to be doing better since they’ve started sourcing drones from elsewhere.
I dunno, they talk a big game but I don’t don’t think they would be any more effective at home than they are abroad. Only problem is the Americans population in general is just as flacid and unmotivated as the dictatorship.

It really is the golden age of stalkers and scam artists. You wouldn’t believe how much I know about the previous owner of my phone number. Their name, where they work, where their kids go to school, their pediatrician, their coworkers names and numbers (still included in text conversations). I started responding to the work texts when I realised they were STILL giving out the number (autofill I guess)

If the techies believe it and they are the “experts” what makes them crazy? Wouldn’t their opinion be the most informed?
Listening to them speak about it, no. They’re morons. They clearly didn’t make the tech. Workers made AI. Just like they make everything. These freaks make nothing. They can’t give single coherent explanation of how LLMs work, how they could “kill” us, nor do they seem to know how or what “guardrails” need to be put in place.
But if they really are a cult then we all know what the next step is. They need to STFU and get off of our planet.

I think it’s as simple as the fact that he’s old and just doesn’t understand the tech and how it’s mostly smoke and mirrors. He’s probably got malicious people influencing him as well. It’s sad but this why public servants need mandatory retirement before they get to this stage.
He’s not been ‘bought’ or anything unless they’ve convinced him that they’ll transfer his mind into an LLM or something so he’ll live forever.
Seriously though that’s probably going to be a selling point soon. Promising all the sick and dying people of this country a shot immortality (with the power of AI!) in exchange for votes and their life savings. Remember that cryonics scam? Anything to keep the bubble going.

Or just don’t allow corporations to put microphones and wifi into literally everything so that we CAN have some options. Even a no frills basic TV wouldn’t need a CPU if it just uses analogue connections. Those are still being made for now.
