Yeah, it sure is. It’s a hobbyist product and they took away my ability to upgrade it. After 14 years of buying these boards, they decided now, during a global RAM shortage, to tighten the leash…
I can solder new RAM into my MacBook or Nvidia GPU, but Raspberry Pi is the first to implement physical locks preventing RAM upgrades. What a fucking joke.

I read the article. Fuck Raspberry Pi.
Yes, they are claiming that this is to protect us, the consumers, by preventing us from buying unofficially upgraded boards that may be unreliable or use counterfeit parts on the secondhand market.
But here’s the fun part: That’s a lie. They just don’t want you upgrading your own hardware when you could pay them more instead.
It’s a hobbyist product. If you put “safeguards” in to block tinkerers, you’re dead to me.

It’s only a valid point if you’re talking about mobile app purchases where Google actually abuses parent/child financial decisions.
Google’s advertising business is a different story altogether. You’re expected to spend quite a lot on campaigns, and not expected to hand control over to a child.

Waymo goes out of its way to tell you that there are no microphones to comply with privacy laws, but you are being filmed.
The article suggests that the kids had the guns out in plain view. The police found several guns, including a loaded assault rifle when they searched.
ACAB, but I am not mad that the children had their black market guns taken away.

Why would a $120k spend on a business card (entered by the cardholder on an advertising account under their name) be suspicious?
This doesn’t follow the pattern of a stolen card at all.
EDIT: Dad set up the YT brand account using his employer’s Google Workspace. He handed all his work emails and sensitive auth to the kid too. Dad is stupid as fuck.

It was the dad who entered the card number. It was his fault. He created a Google advertising profile, but his business card on it, and then handed the reins to a child.
The biggest issue here is that dad thought he could embezzle $20 at a time, but accidentally did $120k all at once. lol. lmao even.
Lack of constant online surveillance is a good thing, btw. Expecting Google to have caught this doesn’t make any sense.

Power strips run in parallel that’s one point of failure for the whole rig.
Your setup runs in series. That’s on point of failure per powered device in the rig.
And if it doesn’t run in series, you really need to explain the wiring on the back of your rig, because I cannot make sense of it otherwise.

WireGuard doesn’t work at all because it is blocked in OP’s country. OP wants an alternative. Dumping all security and encryption is certainly an alternative, but I am certain that this is counter to what OP is trying accomplish, given their initial choice of Tailscale (WireGuard on steroids).

It sounds like your argument here is that AI animation is so legitimately great that it is on par with talented animators. Quite frankly, fuck that, no matter how visually polished AI animations may look, they are generally quite soulless and flat.
The real issue is that people are so reflexively anti-AI that they accuse anything that registers any doubt at all of legitimacy of being AI, even without evidence. This has hurt many legitimate artists who were forced to reveal more than they wanted to about their creative process just to prove to detractors that they didn’t use AI. While hatred of AI “art” is very defensible, directing that hate any anyone you have a mere suspicion of is just making things worse for real artists.
And yeah, the visual clues that something is slop are getting more and more subtle, and that does pose a problem for our ability to quickly differentiate, but that absolutely does not mean than that the slop has equal value to human-created works. Anyone arguing otherwise is just telling the world that they are anti-Human. I which case, I recommend taking a look in the mirror and considering that maybe not all humans inferior to a GPU, just you.
