Even if that’s true, that’s not a reason you support parties that take away their rights…
Also social media is responsible for that kind of image of LGBT folks. I’ve talked to plenty, and most of them are sweet people. The activity pub, the protocol that runs this platform has several of their developers that are LGBT.

Also calculator is still prohibited in schools in many countries. Like mine. And I’m forever grateful for mental math skills I’ve gotten. Teaching math like that has it’s own downsides, but mental math is a soft skill that helps in life.

I really feel bad for parents like you. What a horrible era to live through. Younger people like me, who don’t have any direct siblings or significant others don’t have much to worry about. But I can’t even imagine what it must be for people with families.

Uk what sucks? We knew AI was capable of it from start. Hell, we even saw this happen on twitter. And yet what we did? Just let it happen. Gave a slap on the wrist to elon, and did nothing to address this.
I remember when I first saw nano banana I immediately deleted all my profile photos, and looked up on wayback machine to see if any of my photographs were archived or not. Yeah it’s kinda late and it must be somewhere on some hidden archive, but atleast I’ve bought myself some time. Since that day I have maintained a strict policy amongst my friends and family that I’m not going to be in photographs that are going to be posted online.
Also I want to be clear, I’m not saying it’s corporations responsibility alone. It’s responsibility of individual people to not use it. This is freaking crime. But I’m pissed how world is trying to make it the new normal, and regulators have been too sluggish to respond to it.

Honestly I’ve been in thinking over it and solution might be algorithms that are both open source and cryptographically random. Open source ofc, people should know exactly how their algorithms work. Cryptographically random precisely because a fully open source algorithm might be easy to game. And this should be made compulsory

Oh let me tell you. Cause people beyond the western sphere are unaware of the tom foolery Elon has done all over the years.
Practically everywhere the liberals have a very small political voice. Political priorities are cut very differently between the parties than it is in the west. Because of this, very few people are even giving these issues a voice. Most people aren’t even aware, and if they are, it’s just background noise to them. Like yeah, Elon did a nazi salute in the white house, what does a guy from Bangladesh have to do with that?
People blame Americans for not knowing about the world, but pretty much everywhere people are just as unaware of what’s happening outside their country, as most Americans are, in fact far more. Sometimes as a non American I’ve felt people hold Americans to a really high standard in this regard.

The confrontation, shared in a video that has circulated on Reddit, centres on a simple but uncomfortable question: should a doctor be wearing glasses with a built-in camera while examining a patient in an intimate clinical setting?
I hate it when articles do this. Firstly, answer is NO. secondly there’s nothing uncomfortable about the question itself because answer is a NO, third there’s no need to frame a clear violation of privacy as a question. If it’s not acceptable to pull out a phone and start recording in that situation, then it’s clearly not acceptable to wear those glasses.
I’ll be the devils advocate here and say it’s not the people, but how they receive information. People start to believe whatever the popular narrative is, and treat it as a baseline truth.
If you repeat something enough times, it becomes the truth. That’s what Internet has become. OP probably can’t even explain what they mean here, cause it’s just something they’ve just heard many times.
