From space to telecommunications, the US has a long history of fostering technology for the public good.
This one sentence alone is enough to dismiss the entire knob-slobbering article in my eyes.

They deserve to unionize, Rockstar has been warned multiple times over the past decade but it’s clear what’s important to them. Same as any multi billion dollar corporation. Any suffering on R*'s part should be considered karma.
