Ah, yes. Desperately falling back on making a tone argument of all things is a sure fire indicator that somebody doesn’t have a single leg left to stand on. Sony’s decades-long pattern of behavior does not put them in a position to be able to enjoy that luxury.

I freed up a couple of spare brain cells on that sort of thing back in the day once it was discovered around the schoolyard that Windows 95 (in addition to Office and a couple of other M$ products) would happily accept a CD key of all ones: 111-1111111. I don’t think this was applicable to the OEM versions, though. Windows 98 meanwhile would take a key of 12345-12345-12345, etc.
I still have the Windows 2000 MSDN CD key memorized. From XP onwards, the… alternative… activation methods did not require knowing license keys anymore.
One wonders what it was like to be a member of mankind in an era when all you had to memorize was actually useful information.

If this includes any information anyone enters into any type of medical service portal this is an instant HIPPA violation and these guys need to be federally prosecuted straight into the dirt. There may be other regulations that apply to this as well, e.g. those related to the banking sector. Never mind the inherent security implications in basically any workplace.
You do not log a user’s keystrokes or text entry. Ever. You know who does do that? Malware.

At the beep, it has been 7 months and 19 days and Amazon still has not found my camera.
Beep.
I know where it is. You know where it is. Amazon shipped it loose in its manufacturer’s packaging which plainly broadcast “steal me” to the entire universe and their third party totally-not-an-employee contractor delivery driver stole it. But they’ll totally refund me any day now. Juuuuust as soon as it makes it back to their warehouse!
Instead I charged back my credit card. I’ll never make a big ticket purchase on Amazon ever again.

I thought that too for a while, but the shine has worn off of photochromics for me because all the ones I’ve owned have lasted grand total of about a year or in some cases less before they’ve worn out and no longer darken in the sun. The longest lasting chunk of the stuff I’ve ever managed to own was the visor on my motorcycle helmet, a Bell Qualifier DLX, but that also had the tradeoff of never actually getting dark enough to be useful so I had to wear normal sunglasses under it anyway which really rather defeats the purpose.
Instead when I’m feeling particularly cyberpunk these days I bust out my old pair of CTRL shades. They have their own inherent drawback though, in that even though I managed to score my pair free through my job at the time I’m still afraid to do anything heavy duty while wearing them lest I break the damn things. That’s because it’d cost me $300 for another pair.
Yeah, well. I’ll 3D print you some GTA themed swag and put it in a box that also doesn’t include the game, except I’ll do it for $375. How about that?
