I think it’s less that theyre stupid and more that it’s literally been designed to be an addiction machine. And the average person isn’t consuming media from other sources because at one point, things posted on the addiction machine came from multiple sources. They just missed the subtle changes over time. It’s by design and it’s evil.

The Knight First Amendment Institute argued as amicus that searching expressive and associational content on phones demands a First Amendment warrant. The Second Circuit rejected that argument, holding that neither the Fourth nor the First Amendment carves out a special exemption for phones at the border.

My significant others just got a bunch of ford app notifications for a vehicle at a job he left 6 months ago. Not everyone takes these things seriously. I had no idea he even still had the app on his phone lol.

if someone isn’t mature enough to drive without their parents, they don’t get their license.
Yeah that about sums it up. This really doesn’t need to be a feature on any vehicle. I only see options where it can go wrong.

I was looking into Ente but a lot of people were concerned about them being an Indian company and some other things that didn’t sound great that I can’t remember anymore.
I ended up using immich. I’m relatively happy with it. My camera app refuses to recognize it as a gallery though. But, im switching to graphene shortly so I’ll figure that out later

I’m on an 8 but I’ve been having battery issues. Not because the battery is bad but due to a software issue since an update about 6 months ago. If I’m not in WiFi whatever my most recently opened app is uses an insane amount of battery. If nothing is open then it will be a system app.

I just have a regular home license and one day my one drive was empty. The one drive I’ve pulled everything out of and after windows updates everything would be back in there again. Microsoft basically said there was nothing that could be done to recover my data. I switched to Linux that day. Like I specifically removed my files and turned off one drive in multiple occasions. And they turn it back on and move the My Documents folder back with no warning breaking folder paths for games. Such a shit company.

I actually have a whole chart for this! To be fair, it’s based on how similar things are to YNAB (you need a budget). Theres a fair amount of single Dev vibe coded bull shit in there so check the section that has the year it was founded and how many Devs it has to verify if you’re concerned about that.
I personally use Actual Budget, open source software, free if you self host and don’t want automatic import.
