Don’t fucking put that shit on nerds. The artist isn’t describing nerds, they’re describing capitalism and it’s adherents. This isn’t about nerds. Eg I go through way fewer electronics and gadgetry than the average iPhone idiot specifically because I’m a nerd. My phone is like 7 years old and I’m about to put PostmarketOS on it to try for another 7. I’m painstakingly bootstrapping the firmware on my old Ikea and Hue lights so I never have to buy new ones. I haven’t bought a new computer in decades, I just franken-update as needed, not as desired. My car is a 2008 model because I know how awful the electronics are in new models and will do anything to avoid buying a new one.
Fuck this artist. They’re is a god damned coward apologist for capitalism and is throwing nerds under the bus to do it.

Gorillaz first LP got me into dub, way back in high school. Fun fact, that song isn’t a nod to the Hollywood actor, it’s a nod to the Jamaican dub MC who used it as his stage name.

For real though, this feels like it would fit half of the retail and food businesses here in Portland. And they don’t even bother to update their website or socials to warn you. I really don’t mind flexible hours at all but I hate wasting an hour of time and gas getting across town for nothing.

Looks very similar to the orb weaver who has been rebuilding their web every evening in my balcony san marzanos. Been fun watching them slowly grow, they catch something every day or so.

Well I think I’m a bit jaded and cynical, so when I come across most of your content (I know a lot of it isn’t 196 style, a lot of it is more original webcomic) I’m like “Yeah OK, coming on a little strong with the radical empathy, acceptance, and comforting accommodation”. Like I probably respond better in the moment to something that’s a little more sarcastic and vulgar. But!: That kind of stuff doesn’t necessarily make me feel better seeing it day in day out over the long term. Your stuff does.
It’s good medicine, I guess is another way of putting it. Thank you for all of it.

I’m really coming around to your creative variety of positivity. It’s infectious. I’m always like “This isn’t my speed but their vibes are solid, upvote” but maybe this actually is my speed.
