While it’s overarching plot is kinda meh, it’s structure felt similar to things like Trigun or Cowboy Bebop (basically a western), which both are fairly well regarded. But to me, the high episodes of Kinos Journey stand out more than any Trigun episodes and are at least on par if not better than many Cowboy Bebop episodes.

It’s been so long since I’ve seen someone recommend “Kinos Journey”. I stumbled upon it years ago looking for new anime and never understood why it never got more attention. The ending is a little weird, bit it has some fantastic episodes.

Haha, I’m not sure how much getting into the manga helped in that case. Not sure well ever get a real ending to that story.

The moonlight argument only holds up if you have the hardware to run the game. With steaming I always assumed the appeal was for playing games that you couldn’t locally.

Since its only for streaming games, not games you installed on your Xbox/pc, I could believe that it’s not a huge percentage of users.
When I had gamepass streaming was usually pointless as I could just play locally 90% of the time.

Well the first one in that reboot trilogy is now 13years old 😐
Edit: I also really liked that design for her, so sad to see they’re moving away from it for the next game.

To me it wasn’t bad, but more like a 5/6 out of 10. I’m curious if you agree with that score and if not, what elevates it for you?
Another issue I think the game had was it cost 100million (at least according to Microsoft). Regardless of the quality it certainly didn’t sell well enough.

To be honest, having played both Contrast and South of Midnight, I’m not sure how the studio still exists. Neither of those games were bad, but they also weren’t anything beyond mediocre.
South of Midnight might have hit harder if it came out in the 360 era, but it felt very dated on release. The only saving grace was some cool animation and the music.

Lots of indie games work well, especially if they’re pixel art or 2D.
Things like Hades 1/2, Dead Cells, Ball x Pitt.

Yeah, that’s what I was getting at. I’m not sure how someone is gullible for buying hardware around market rates. Like yeah, it sucks that everything is so expensive, but unless you’re buying used that’s just the way things are right now.

I get calling out pre-ordering a digital game, but what’s the hate for the steam machine? Sure its maybe a bit pricier than a similarish build, but the form factor and other perks of the system can make up for that.
Prediction markets are just “sparkling” insider trading.
