Ah so the head pedophile in charge demanded something unreasonable, so they cut all the corners they could and ended up killing 123 children. Super cool. This is AI’s fault because…? That site had been operating as a school for a decade. They can’t blame flawed intelligence, it was their own gross negligence and lack of review.
You remember how DOGE cut a bunch of government funding by random keyword searches? And they ended up banning super important research into using gene editing as a life-saving tool because the work was being done on transgenic mice? And they searched “trans” and then defunded it?
So this is like that, except instead of funding being cut, they murdered 123 children.

Arguing for the legal production of CSAM is fucked up, even if it’s by an AI.
Also the article specifically states:

For example, researchers have found that “a major dataset used for training image-generating AI contained hundreds of CSAM images.” Thus, unlike the virtual CSAM at issue in Free Speech Coalition, the market for AI-generated virtual CSAM images may impact the demand for actual CSAM on which the AI models can train.
You’re wrong. We absolutely can draw the line here. And yes, it does harm children. allowing people to create, possess, and distribute CSAM, even if it’s AI-generated, will influence peoples willingness to act on their urges in real life, with real children. It’s not a stretch to consider that linkage. What you’re arguing for is shameful and disgusting.

I worked at a movie theater for my first ever job. I lied about my age to get it, I was 14. It was a great job, working the concession stand. I got to drink mad slushies, and all the pretzel bites that I could sneak. Got a movie poster, can’t even remember which one, and some discounted tickets. Made some friends, it was awesome.
But yeah my manager and the guy doing all the projector work were just, 100% not happy 😅 I guess now I know why

the Federal Trade Commission Act expressly excludes “air carriers and foreign air carriers” from the Commission’s Section 5 authority over unfair or deceptive practices.
And while several states are passing laws on the matter, those are expressly preempted by the Airline Deregulation Act.
Regulations don’t apply to them for… reasons

The argument here is that AI will improve price discrimination (and therefore total revenue)
There’s a whole lot of other words in the article claiming that this “actually can lower ticket costs for some consumers!” and “AI will increase productivity!” but it’s all bullshit. Every single person that’s been forced to work with AI already knows it doesn’t do shit right, and their only example of offering a lower fare is to a “leisure traveler that might otherwise stay home.” Oh, OK, so a rich asshole that travels for fun?

I used to be real hyped about self-driving cars. I thought it would be just the answer we needed to our profound lack of public transportation. But after they took off the LIDAR system, it just became a money grab. And what was I thinking anyway? Self-driving cars? the answer to no public transportation? As if you’d want one of these cheap systems in charge full of a BUS of people?

Y’all remember when Windows updated their OS and all computers without enough memory to run it were bricked?
