IMO their newest album is really good. TBH, the only one I’ve enjoyed in the last 10-15 years. And they were really good live this summer.

The bar for summary execution on only your judgement from afar, or mine, should be incredibly high. Much higher than before an official court and out in the open. I have exactly the same opinions about your (rather US centric) list, but I would not want to use the power to murder them on a whim. And if this is the list that you start with, where will you be after sliding into the moral quagmire of where to stop?

I guess now we know why those stories are told as allegories for why we shouldn’t give power over life and death to people. But usually the protagonist needs to slide into abusing their power. Blood thirsty mitherfucker. Smh.

The default scale of that graph starting in 1750 is a bit unfair. If you zoom in to after 1980 you see that China’s trajectory is slowing down and there are projections China may have hit peak emissions this year. And that’s despite them having taken over a large chunk of manufacturing for us in the west who have been able to reduce emissions.

The difference here is that running an airline is hard. If you could buy a plane and press a button for it to make money autonomously,then Airbus and Boeing wouldn’t sell their planes either.

I use Google maps a lot to check opening hours of local restaurants. I thought I’d try that with an OSM app, and most of the places weren’t even there. I’d never trust the details of those that were.
On the other hand, my cycling computer uses OSM data and it’s quite complete enough for that purpose. With a couple of exceptions that I just remember that I need to correct.

Edit: I ran a little experiment and zig-zagged up a bit of hill on the bike this morning and the GPS/Galileo/Glonass unit resolved it easily. However, it didn’t quite agree where the road was.
The road, was pretty narrow.

You’ll want studded tyres to cycle in icy conditions. But yeah, there is no requirement to always cycle. Having it as a viable option is great though.

LLM agents are writing English (…) documents, ostensibly for human review and consumption, but 90%+ of what I have my LLM agents write is exclusively consumed by other agents, … and accessed by other agents - it seems like the English translation is pretty useless for that layer …
But remember, the LLM is trained on human language. It doesn’t understand what it is talking about, it just simulates humans talking about it. I don’t think there is a more fundamental token stream there to be uncovered.
Both of those should be subset or not-subset symbols.
