What do you mean by their hardware? I have Xfinity (it’s the only option for Internet in my apartment complex) and I have my own modem and router. I’ve never used Xfinity’s equipment.

I love wearing thick framed ugly as fuck glasses (they’re ugly, I’m ugly, we match). I hate that I just bought new glasses and I deliberately got thinner, clear frames just because I don’t want there to be any chance someone could think I’m wearing these dumb things.

Thanks for the assistance! I’ll have to play with it some more. I had it in the foreground and it definitely wasn’t more than 30 minutes between me turning my screen on and looking at it and while I did walk in one big loop I had opened and played it at different times in the loop so it was more like a big L that my screen was off and in my pocket, and it only tracked a small distance of what I actually walked and it seemed to be the times my screen was on.

I’ve been using this since you posted about it here before, and I love it but have two minor comments/gripes (maybe they were fixed in the new update, if so I apologize).
I wish it tracked my walk with the screen off. I’ve walked many miles with this app open, but as soon as the screen turns off it stops tracking me (even with the app still open when I turn the screen back on) so according to the app I still haven’t completed the achievement for “walk 4 km”. I went out for a 5 km walk the other day and had the app open the entire time and it thought I only walked about 0.5 because most of the walk the screen turned off. (I do love the option to lock the screen, but I don’t want to leave my phone screen on for an hour long walk and drain the battery)
The controls for brewing potions can be picky. I know it’s supposed to be a little challenging, but using the ladle is frustrating as the sensitivity doesn’t seem predictable and it tends to not move then suddenly fling across the screen, throwing water everywhere.
Like I said, these aren’t major complaints and it’s not going to keep me from using the game. Thanks for making such a cool little game that’s free and isn’t harvesting my data!

It’s very long if you take the time to explore the whole map and do all the side quests, but the main quest is leveled so that you don’t have to do most of the side quests if you don’t want to, unlike some games where you kind of have to do most of the side quests in order to level up enough to keep up with the required level for the main quest. If you do choose to side quest you can be way overpowered and breeze through the main quest line with no problem.
I’m working on a playthrough right now and I’m less than halfway through and I’ve only done maybe 1/3 or less of the side quests so far and I’m already 7 levels above where the main quest wants me to be.
I think it’s worth it because I love the world, the characters, and the story, but every nerd has their special fandom and the Witcher is mine.

This is my favorite game ever, I’m sorry you’re finding it boring and slow paced. There’s so many little things to discover. I have more hours and more playthroughs into it than I’d like to admit.

Your Control screenshots all look like you’ve taken actual photos of a bunch of minis in lovingly created dioramas. I’m not sure what it is that is so different from other games that look like either plain screenshots or actual hyper realistic photos of life sized people, but all of these just look like incredibly detailed miniatures to me. I played a little bit of Control and I don’t remember the game having that effect while playing.
It’s lovely and interesting and I’m curious if anyone else sees it too.

I know nothing about Project Zomboid and I love reading your descriptions of it and how it sounds like it’s actually you and your friends in this world getting hurt by broken glass and depressed by bad pasta.
Any recs for the best choice for buying a home router for someone who doesn’t have the knowledge to build or configure one? I’m smart enough to change the admin password and rename the default network/setup a new password, but that’s about it. Mine just stopped getting security updates, plus it’s a Netgear. I know no one is really trustworthy anymore, but I know some brands are more sketchy than others.
