It’s unfortunately sustainable because people buy things they like before things they need.
For all of us, for everyone 1 person we know who has a decent job and loves to play games they buy with disposable income, we probably know 5 who shouldn’t buy the game they’re buying because they’re already behind on their sewer bill.
The cheapest PCs are ones that didn’t make the cut for Windows 11, so I’d look for 6th or 7th Gen. RAM is cheaper as well. Then you can build something cheap, and iterate from there.
For a beginner, check out Unraid. It’ll do 99% of what you want without being a hassle.
