There’s a range of levels of this kind of shop, maybe not in every country or city, but in general. There was one in a city I lived in a few years ago, actually a national chain in that country, which had some fancier stuff but basically normal supermarket level stuff at slightly below normal supermarket prices, plus 5% off if you brought your containers. They had flours, dry beans, seeds, dry fruit etc, as well as like dish soap, oil, vinegar and so on. The first few times it was definitely a bit of a hassle to go there and think about what I needed to bring and buy, but once I made a routine of it it wasn’t harder than anything else really.

People who know what they’re doing can get better results out of them.
I don’t think that’s true in the way you appear to mean (sorry if I misunderstood). People who are already experts on the subject matter might be able to use better keywords and discard hallucinatory material quicker, but I don’t believe that you can generically “be good at prompting” outside of an area where you have substantial domain knowledge.
And the only way to learn to recognise bullshit involves not using LLMs or other automated tools and working problems out for yourself, not to mention that they’re an “intern” who actually costs the same in computing power as two senior engineers’ salary.

Not saying it’s real, but… Someone who wants to take a photo like this? In the summer (which it would be since it’s light out) it’s not thaaat cold near the coast. Maybe -10 C, but probably more like +5 these days, sometimes much warmer. Additionally, for a single-walled tent, ventilation is extremely important or else moisture build up will condense on the tent and get you wet, which you really don’t want when it’s cold.

Taking any critic’s opinion as the truth is crazy. Do we really just not know what a review is? Sure they say whether they liked something or not, but the point is that they describe it well enough that you can make a more educated guess about whether you’ll like something or not regardless of what their score is. He does a decent job of that.

Yes, easily. Additionally, they can control the search engines which lead there or not, the commonly used platforms for code sharing so that development is more difficult, and so forth. They have an incredible advantage through economy of scale. The barrier to entry for putting any information on the internet may not be very high, but making it findable and accessible has a very high barrier, and relies on corporate-controlled platforms.

It’s not about what racism is more important. Don’t put words in my mouth. As if happens, in this moment anti Muslim hate is actually globally much more important than antisemitism but that has nothing to do with the point I’m making. Just talking about one thing doesn’t mean it’s more important than another thing. IMO it’s quite meaningful to understand the various flavours of right-extremism, it explains a lot about the tensions between the various factions for example. There is currently substantial division on the right about whether to support Israel because they are killing Muslims or to hate them as well because they are Jews, and you may not care or want to think about that, it’s perfectly valid, but the way it plays out will have serious political consequences and effects on the lives of many people

Yes sure but the point is the way in which Carlson does antisemitism is the very traditional style, with the conspiracy theories about jews running the world and the charicatures and so on. Nazis famously didn’t love other non white people either, I understand he has plenty of hate to go around. But he is a legit antisemite unlike most people who get called that these days.

Not sure every software engineer needs to know this. If they’d said web developer I suppose this would really be expected knowledge, but then you’d probably want to shoot them anyway.
Haha, nah. If you’re generally faster with AI assistance it just means you never actually knew how to do your job properly. Sure it can help you get over some hurdles, make docs searches a bit easier if some library has crap docs, but it’s a 5% speed improvement at best and it’s all worse the moment it sends you down some stupid hallucinated rabbithole.
