It’s just Tim’s Newton. We’ll get something better in ten years, like we got the iPhone. But I don’t know that it will come from Apple unless we get someone more creative in the leadership role.

I don’t think this new CEO is going to last more than a year. He has all the charisma of Gil Amelio.
At least he shelved the Apple Vision headset. Hopefully he also canned the Apple Glasses and AirPods with camera that were rumored.

I’m more concerned with IKEA’s quality decline than I am its prices. Lots of tacky crap made of virgin plastic these days. Even many of the sheet sets are 100% polyester and the towels they’re selling now are threadbare. Silicone spatula sets that aren’t designed to be used at cooking temperatures. Melamine plates that expose you to microplastics and can’t be used in the microwave. It also doesn’t help that their current seating designs are so low to the ground.
There are still some decent finds there, but it’s getting harder to see them through all the dollar store crap. I guess lowering the prices might help move this inventory, but I’m still not planning on buying any of it.

Fuel economy hasn’t been a selling feature for a majority of buyers in the US since the 1970s. If it was, Ford wouldn’t have stopped shipping sedans here, and EVs wouldn’t need incentives and rebates.
A large section of the US market prefers to take out huge loans to buy an Escalade or a Ford F150 and then bitch about it when gas prices go up.

I wonder how many of these satellites are single-purpose and could be replaced with less satellites that do more things?
Also how many of them are just dead space garbage at this point that need to be removed from orbit? Maybe we should have a “one in/two out” policy or something. You wanna launch a new satellite into space, you gotta pay to remove two other objects first.
