• When I was in school they provided me an outlook email. I used it only for school and made sure not to put in too much personal detail. If I had to use a personal email I’d use an alias. When I had to access it at home I’d login via a website. No systems schools use are in any way good for privacy so just keep it isolated as well as possible

• Create guest networks with AP isolation for IOT and guests. Switch to a good DNS such as Quad9 or NextDNS, enable Wireguard for all devices on your network. Set a strong admin password and disable remote/WAN access to your router.

• I tend to use my main profile as my main one and set up secondary profiles for whatever I might need them for. I tried a private space but really wished it shared the VPN with my main profile so I didn’t like it much.

• I’m not familiar with ftms but look into Golden Cheetah. I read that it can mange running data. It’s not a pretty UI or easy to understand but it does it’s job.

• A Gl.inet router is easy to use with it’s stock firmware. I recommend getting one and keeping it stock at least for awhile. You can still use Luci to get more in-depth while also having a simple to understand interface as a backup. It has Adguard built in as well as other things like VPNs and Tailscale and packet inspection. Of course through Luci you can install all sorts of stuff. The Flint 2 has good hardware to be able to run lots of addons

• Get a late year (facelift) L320 or L322 Range Rover/Sport or LR4. 2011-2014ish. They have plenty of luxuries, status, looks, horsepower, safety, and very very minimal to no privacy invasion.
